WHY WE BUILT PROVID

ProVid Grip & Lighting was founded by filmmaker Yoandy Vidal after years of seeing valuable shooting time lost to disorganized gear and limited access to the right equipment when it mattered most. Those experiences inspired a simple idea: create a better-organized, production-ready solution designed around the realities of working on set.

 

After more than a decade working across commercials, documentaries, television, branded content, and other productions, Yoandy set out to create the kind of grip and lighting service he wanted on his own shoots—the essential tools a production needs, together in one organized, production-ready solution.

 

But having the right equipment is only part of it. Over the years, Yoandy has worked alongside talented crew members who became trusted colleagues and friends. ProVid was built around that same network—people whose experience, work ethic, and professionalism he knows firsthand and trusts on set.

 

We know how valuable every minute of production can be because we've spent years working on set ourselves. That's why ProVid is built to provide the gear, organization, and experienced support productions need to stay efficient, prepared, and moving forward.
